Privateer Rum Distillery is a Massachusetts largest distillery that produces what is considered some of the finest American rum using time honored traditions inspired by the owner, Andrew Cabot's family history as Privateers and distillers. The hotel is a great place to take a sneak peak into the entire process from raw goods to finished product. The True American Amber and Silver Reserve distillery offers tours and tastings as well as the chance to interact with production members, check out their barrel and bottling rooms as well and sample signature rums. The hotel has a gift shop on site. Tours are available for booking on the website and typically take place at 11.00am and 1pm, though they are subject to change. The hotel is located in the city centre, and is located near the river. All visitors must carry proof of age to sample products and be over 21 years of age.
