The Hale Telescope at the Palomar Observatory is one of the largest telescopes in the world and is still in active use. It is named after George Ellery Hale who designed, designed and constructed this 200 inch (5.1 meters) massive instrument funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. It is truly an amazing piece of scientific creation used to observe the wonders in the clear night skies by several scientists.
