About this venue
The First Theatre is located near Monterey Docks, California. It was built in the mid-19th century by an English sailor named Jack Swan. The stage was built in the hotel, and the lighting was set up in the theater. This old adobe structure was used to accommodate traveling sailors. The theater is currently open only during Christmas.
