About this tour

An executed emperor, an empress who went mad, and a dictator who ruled thirty years from the next room. Everything in the same house. Inside, you will tour the private rooms of Maximiliano of Habsburg and Carlota, who lived here between 1864 and 1867. The avenue you see below, today Paseo de la Reforma, was laid out so that Carlota could see her husband come down into the city. All of that, on a hill that the Mexica already climbed when Tenochtitlan was an island. How do you go through it. Your entry is included. A certified guide accompanies you for two hours, telling you exactly what happened where you are standing—not the plaque version, the complete one. We go in groups of a maximum of 15 people, so you can ask whatever comes to mind and you have extra time for your photos on the terraces, with the Chapultepec Forest and Paseo de la Reforma entirely in the background.
