Maliko Gulch is also host to an extravagant cultural festival in May every year. The festival is a cultural and recreational event that features paddling races along the scenic 8-kilometer (4.97-mile) stretch of the bay. The festival's eclectic program includes surfing, canoeing, and live shows.
