Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks are a dramatic display of nature's unprecedented beauty. This area is known for its volcanic eruptions that rocked this region more than 6 million years ago. The hotel is a great place for families and adventurers. The Canyon Trail is a 1.2 mile (1.9 km) trail that connects to the easy Cave Loop Trail and the 2.4 mile (1.6 km) Canyon Trail. Meander through shoulder-width slots of the canyons leading to a steep 630 feet (1920 meter) climb to the top of a mesa where your reward is sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo, Jemez and the majestic Sandia mountains.
