James "Slim" Hand is a classic country singer/songwriter from Waco, Texas who, despite his tremendous talent, has spent a good portion of his life in obscurity. Now in his 50s, James Hand is beginning to see the recognition he deserves from critics, music publications and fellow country musicians such as Willie Nelson, who all see Hand's talent as "the real deal." Since the release of his nationally-distributed debut album The Truth Will Set You Free in 2006, he's already starting to see his dreams come true, proving to many that one is never too old to be a successful musician.
