Led by singer Tiombe Lockhart, Cubic Zirconia is an electro-funk band based in New York City. The group, who has the ability to turn any concert into a sweaty dance party, plays a smirking, yet emotionally distant brand of electro-funk. The band's music generally involves Lockhart alternating between smoothly sung vocals and slightly awkward rapping laid over beds of glitchy arpeggiators and icy synths.
