About

Fäaschtbänkler is a Swiss new folk music band formed in 2008 in Kriessern by Andreas Frei, Roman Wüthrich, Marco Graber, Michael Hutter, and Roman Pizio. Three members are trained musicians, and the band is based in Switzerland's border triangle with Germany and Austria. They gained prominence with their 2012 debut album Oagasenn, followed by Orgasmusik in 2014, which made the iTunes charts. Their 2016 album Mitten in die Scheibe reached number 14 on the Swiss charts, and 2018's Partyplanet hit charts in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The band's blend of pop, rock, house, and folk music on traditional wind instruments has led to chart-topping singles like "Glück" and "Irgendwo," and their YouTube hits include "Can you english please" with over 21 million views. They have performed extensively and appeared on major TV shows, working with Rosenklang for production and booking.
