Born in Ibiza, Fernando Costa describes himself as equal parts Ibizan and Granadino. Belonging to a new crop of Spanish hip-hop artists, Costa spent almost three years shadowing some of the biggest names in the business before venturing out on his own. He was first introduced to rap through the music of CPV and his fascination with the genre increased with exposure to artists such as 7Notes, The Bad and Violators. He describes his music as an expression of his true feelings and a way to connect with his audience. His 2018 debut album YipiYou, a classic rap album infused with elements of flamenco, showcases his versatility and ability to create a chaotic yet cohesive record. Continued commercial success with songs such as "Malamanera," "Danger," "Narcolepsia" and more have helped him establish himself as a name to reckon with.
