Cough

Cough is a doom metal band based out of Richmond, Virginia. The group formed in 2005, inspired by the raw, pummeling metal of groups such as Electric Wizard, Cathedral and Sleep. With ferocious, guttural screams from lead vocalists David Cisco and Parker Chandler strung atop heavy doom metal guitars, Cough plays in the slow, deliberate style of the genre known as sludge. The group released its debut album, Sigillum Luciferi in 2008, which was well-received in the metal community and led to Cough signing with prominent metal label, Relapse Records in 2010.
