Codebreaker is an American electro duo that aims to give classic funk and disco a sleek, modern face-lift. Based out of Milwaukee, the project is made up of Steven Hawley and Sage Schwarm, two electronic producers on the local scene who joined forces based on their mutual affinity for summery dance music and love for 1980s pop. The result is a collection of songs combining the quick, choppy guitar-strumming of funk and the drum rhythms of disco, all doused with a heavy layer of slick production and modern electropop sheen.
