Brooklyn-based JM Airis lives and dies with an analog four-track tape recorder. Swearing by the raw sounds of such vintage gear, Airis wrote his debut album Indian Summer in a textile warehouse in Brooklyn where had built his own recording studio. The relationship to this studio space is an important facet of his first record, and even serves as an integral muse to his work.
