Barbara Piévic, professionally known as Barbara Pravi, is a French singer and songwriter born on April 10, 1993, in Paris. Coming from a family of artists, her Serbian, Algerian, Polish, and Iranian heritage has influenced her artistry. Pravi began her music career in 2014 and signed with Capitol Music France in 2015. Known for her blend of French chanson and modern pop, Pravi gained international recognition when she represented France in the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing second with her song "Voilà." She has released five extended plays and her debut album On n'enferme pas les oiseaux in 2021. Aside from her singing career, Pravi is a prolific songwriter, penning tracks for artists like Yannick Noah and Jaden Smith, as well as winners of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Personally, Pravi is an advocate for women's rights and has shared her experiences as a domestic violence survivor. She continues to release music, with her second album La Pieva set for 2024.
