The diversity found in Alexis Foxe's music makes it hard to try and single out a particular style or culture that inspired it. Electropop, Big Band, cabaret and syrupy vocal pop all come together in a mish-mash of elements that sound like the product of a well-traveled writer. Raised in Madrid and Buenos Aires by her Cuban mother and Colombian father, Foxe was exposed to a myriad of cultures, locales and languages from an early age, all of which factor into her songwriting. Dance and fashion are also a big part of Foxe's style, and she often dresses and performs in clothing inspired by 1940s or 1950s trends.
