Charlottesville, Virginia band Sons of Bill is a no BS rock band through and through. Combining the best of 1990s alternative rock like grunge and post-punk styles, the band creates nostalgic rock for fans of a bygone era. In addition to the band's masterful rock chops, the band has also mastered the power of the Internet to generate support, both financial and otherwise. In 2011 the band started a fundraising campaign on the popular Kickstarter site, setting a goal for $20,000 and raising over double that. The money went to funding the group's first record Sirens, released in March of 2012.
