Though he finished the fifth season of Australian Idolas a runner-up, singer/songwriter Matt Corby used his appearance on the popular show as a springboard for what has become a modestly successful solo career. Just 16 years-old when he was on the show, Corby's musical talents have progressed right in front of the Australian viewing public's eyes. He's a multi-instrumentalist, capable of sprinkling his albums with guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica and of course, his signature voice, which is capable of hitting soaring, emotive highs or simply settling into a hushed folk melody. With his fan-base constantly expanding in Australia, Corby has taken to Western Europe and North America in hopes of reaching new listeners.
