Prison Garde is the newest of a long line of projects and monikers developed by Canadian electronic producer Vaughn Robert Squire. The Vancouver-based musician has taken on a bass-heavy vibe with Prison Garde that is inspired by classic funk and current electro trends. His live shows are full-on audio/visual experiences that rely heavily on the booming bass tones coming from his 808 drum machine. Squire has been frequently commissioned by fellow electronic artists to produce remix tracks, and his work with Prison Garde is beginning to allow him chances to perform regularly outside of Canada.
