Netherfriends

Netherfriends is an indie pop trio from Chicago that showcases a unique brand of psychedelic pop music. As a result, the group's music has come across to critics and fans as a favorable amalgamation of the musical elements that were responsible for the rise of the genre's more established bands. Following the successful release of the band's debut album Barry and Sherry in 2010, Netherfriends front-runner Shawn Rosenblatt decided to embark upon something groundbreaking (though a similar project was attempted and later abandoned Sufjan Stevens) for the band's upcoming tour: to write fifty songs for each of the fifty US states they'll be touring in, with an album release of said songs expected in a few years to come.
