Ruido Blanco is a pop/rock band from Spain that focuses on creating sweeping, piano-led ballads. Their straight-forward electric guitar rock is counteracted with sentimental male/female harmonies and syrupy strings on many of the band's songs, resulting in soft, but often driving arrangements. The attention the band pays to its sense of emotive grandiosity seems to point out its affection for UK groups who have mastered the formula, including Coldplay, Travis and Snow Patrol.
