Extra Action Marching Band

The Extra Action Marching Band is a truly a genre-defying group from Oakland, California that attempts to combine the spectacle of a marching band (cheerleaders and all) into a punk rock act. The band originally made a name for itself by crashing parties and events throughout the Bay Area - most notably at a book signing given by David Byrne, founder of the Talking Heads, who was so impressed by the performance that he invited them to perform at a number of his events going on throughout California. All in all, the Extra Action Marching Band is not only a sight to see, but something quite interesting to hear as well.
