Gepe

Born in San Miguel in 1981, Gepe is the stage name of Chilean singer-songwriter Daniel Riveros. After briefly singing and playing drums with the short-lived band Taller Dejao, Riveros embarked on a solo career mixing the tropes of traditional Chilean folk music with modern electro-pop. Largely considered the leader of the new Chilean folk movement, Gepe is a critical darling whose albums regularly appear on lists of the greatest Chilean rock records of all time.
