Japanese band Zoobombs was formed by Don Matsuo in 1994 and within a week, the four-piece had written enough songs to jump onto Tokyo's underground live circuit. Immediately garnering attention and being dubbed the leaders of the Japanese Next Wave movement, a musical style that blends new wave with psychedelic garage rock, Zoobombs consistently released an album a year until signing with the Virgin/EMI label in 1999. Since then the band has become a sensation in its native country and has spread its hype to Canada after playing the NXNW festival. A highly charismatic live act to behold, Zoobombs continues to win over audiences with each show it plays.
