Zlam Dunk

Four days after meeting in a dorm room in San Marcos, Texas, the seven members of Zlam Dunk began recording their debut EP. With two drummers and two singers, the band evidently doesn't believe in the ideology of "less is more," but instead crams in as much energy as it can into its songs. While this exorbitance can sometimes push the band into the more experimental noise rock territory, it often just provides a spastic backdrop for Zlam Dunk's guitar-driven emo pop. A consistent winner of Texas Battle of the Bands competitions, Zlam Dunk is generally a favorite with crowds due to its liveliness, which the band attributes to pixie stix and 4Loko.
