Zechs Marquise

Zechs Marquise was formed by brothers Marcel and Marfred Rodriguez-Lopez in El Paso, Texas in 2003. After they convinced a few childhood friends to join in, the quartet named itself after an anime character and began experimenting with progressive rock. Preferring free improvisation to writing and recording studio releases, the band is often categorized in the jam band genre, particularly with its tendency to blend ambient rock with jazz, funk and psych in an unrestrained manner. Like most jam bands, Zechs Marquise tours regularly around the world to audiences of dedicated fans.
