Jumping on the indie music scene's bandwagon of afro-beat influenced jangle pop with layered vocal harmonies and chants, Young Buffalo can be grouped with the likes of Local Natives and Vampire Weekend. Formed in 2009 in Oxford, Mississippi, the trio quickly found an audience in the UK who appreciated the group's three-part harmonies, handclaps and carefree guitar riffs. After releasing the single "Catapilah" in 2011, the group picked up steam in the US as well and embarked on a fairly extensive tour.
