Welsh musician Karl Wallinger hasn't had it easy. After a stint in The Waterboys, Wallinger started World Party, which he's effectively run as a 20+ year solo project with a rotating cadre of backing musicians. Despite being plagued by health problems and having one of this best songs stolen and turned into a massive hit by cheeky pop tart Robbie Williams, Wallinger continually churns out literate and melodic rock and roll steeped in '60s British Invasion influences and deeply informed by his life-long study of philosophy.
