Largely the project of singer/songwriter Adam Sheare, Weinland is an indie folk band based in Portland, Oregon. The quintet plays lushly orchestrated, intensely melodic, character-based songs about love and loss, with uncommon conviction. While there's a consistent morose streak in Weinland's songwriting, there's also a simultaneously hopeful quality to the band's lovely arrangements that gives its music an intriguing dynamic.
