Truth Universal is an underground hip-hop artist from New Orleans who is taking a more intellectual approach to the creation and performance of hip-hop music. The music of Truth Universal rails against the unfortunate observation that, in these wildly changing musical times, many genres have run the risk of devolving into incoherence. Truth Universal seeks to put a stop to this trend by acting as a hip-hop "curator" of sorts, hoping that by doing so, hip-hop artists will remember what the genre is all about--a celebration of non-conformity as well as a powerful vehicle for social discourse.
