This Is The Kit is an indie folk rock project from Bristol, United Kingdom led by singer/songwriter Kate Stables. Since the project began in 2003, Stables gained international recognition and acclaim with the inclusion of her track "Two Wooden Spoons" on the celebrated Folk Off music compilation released in 2006. Given the unprecedented success of the single, This is the Kit was able to release its first album, Krülle Bol, to critical acclaim, particularly for its smart use of guest musicians showcasing their talents on a variety of musical instruments.
