Self-proclaimed perfectionists, The Pauses refused to put out any releases--full lengths, EPs or otherwise--until it had been writing music as a band for over two years. This dedication to song quality and production value is evident in the Orlando, Florida trio's music, live shows and even music videos, which demonstrate obsessive attention to every detail. While the band may not create anything groundbreaking, sticking to the palette of indie rock/pop while incorporating a few electronic flourishes here and there, the detail-oriented nature of the musicians causes their music to be interesting.
