The Liptonians is an indie pop band from Winnipeg, Canada. Formed in 2008, the four-piece creates incredibly lush music full of well-thought out arrangements that at times call to mind those of classic 1970s soft rock albums. The Liptonians self-recorded debut album received the "Western Canadian Music Award for Outstanding Pop Recording"--much to the surprise of the group's members. Never short on fanciful vocal hooks or sparkling production, the band's subsequent material has caught on with fans of creatively assembled pop music full of pianos, guitars, crisp drumming and plenty of extra bells and whistles.
