Coming out of Finland is The Late Birds, a country music-influenced roots rock band. The four piece band was formed by drummer Janne Haavisto, bass player Mikko Makela, singer Markus Nordenstreng and guitarist Miikka Paatelainen in 2000. After releasing their debut album Fortune Cookies in 2003, the band toured around the world. A second album, Radio Insomnia, followed in 2005.
