The Cynics are a seminal garage rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since 1983 the band has been recording its energetic and catchy rock and roll songs with vocalist Michael Kastelic and guitarist Gregg Kostelich. Even though the band has gone through many lineup changes, and even an eight year breakup, they are still as vital today as they were when they began with their first single, "Painted My Heart"/"Sweet Young Thing," in 1984.
