Spoek Mathambo

A member of electro-rap groups Sweat.X and Playdoe, rapper Spoek Mathambo is also a solo artist. As with his past work, Mathambo's solo debut, Mshini Wam, also crosses the blurred lines between electronic and rap. An Afro-futurist, a large part of Mathambo's approach to music making goes hand-in-hand with his approach to graphic design and art in general, which is to project the creative and cultural qualities of his homeland of South Africa. Mathambo is an artist who isn't fearful of experimenting with genres and mediums.
