The Brazilian group Some Community is an indie rock outfit that blends ethereally altered vocals with jangly guitars and thumpy bass lines to create an interesting style of pop-friendly music that's worth listening to repeatedly. After the band released its debut LP in 2010, it received some attention from critics and audiences for its characteristic sound and ability to blend several genres to create an original sound. With vocals often sung in English, Some Community has managed some crossover appeal to music connoisseurs living in the United Sates who are constantly on the prowl for new and innovative music coming out of South America.
