Smiler is the moniker of a UK rapper based in London. His debut 2006 track, "Neighbourhood" became a popular rap and club single throughout England, prompting Smiler to continue progressing his career by way of well-received tracks and mix-tapes. His rapping flow is self-assured and smooth, permeating with a sense of laid-back cool that is at odds with more aggressive popular UK rap styles such as grime. He's managed to receive a good amount of press overseas in the US, thanks mostly to public endorsements from big names such as Big Boi, Nas and Damien Marley.
