Sleepy Vikings

The indie-rock outfit Sleepy Vikings is from Tampa, Florida, and had only been together as a unit for two months before they were offered their first gig opening up for the Vivian Girls. Then in July of 2009, after playing the North by Northeast festival (NXNE) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the Paste Magazine invited the band to play a few tracks at Paste's studios. The southern rock and indie sounds of Sleepy Vikings certainly have caught on with peers, critics and fans alike, and that looks to only increase as the release of their debut album nets them greater exposure.
