Thomas Wesley Pentz, better known by his DJ name, Diplo, is a DJ and producer from Florida. Diplo incorporates the Brazilian baile funk genre into his electronica beats and is known for his eclectic mash-ups and dirty south style. Diplo teamed-up with British DJ, Switch, in 2009 and formed the DJ duo, Major Lazer. As the founder of the record label, Mad Decent, he is an active and influential contributor to both the creative and the business side of electronic music.
