Dinosaur Pile-Up is an English three-piece rock band from Leeds. Formed in 2007, the band creates a distorted guitar-heavy blend of alternative rock and punk that critics have described as neo-grunge. While it'd certainly be impossible to argue against the group's obvious love for 1990s rock music, lead songwriter, Matt Bigland, brings enough to the table melodically to keep Dinosaur Pile-Up from simply being unnecessary rehash artists. The group's songs are bathed in three-minute bursts of distortion but are produced in a glossy fashion that manages to bring out the catchiest parts of the songs, presenting them in a context far closer to power pop than punk rock.
