Written by Russian playwright Mikkhail Bulgakov in 1924, The White Guard follows the Turbin family in 1918 Ukraine. The pro Tsarist children, all young adults, have just lost their mother, and struggle to survive and adapt in an inevitably changing society while battling their personal loss. The latest adaptation of the drama is written by Australian playwright Andrew Upton.
