Coming from the sunny confines of Valencia, Spain, Polock is an indie pop band with a sound that perfectly compliments its roots. The band creates light and breezy tunes that filter the garage-spiked guitars of the Strokes through a lackadaisical, electro-influenced form of modern pop that seems perfectly tailored for the summer months. Polock sings its songs in English and seems intent on breaking into the American and UK markets, where groups such as MGMT and Phoenix have capitalized on like-minded styles. The band's debut LP, Getting Down From the Trees, was released in 2010.
