Montreal-based musician Pat Jordache specializes in making off-kilter noise-pop. Set beneath his unique baritone vocals, Jordache's tracks incorporate woozy guitar loops and jarring dissonance alongside far-reaching influences like lively African percussion and the hypnotic drone of Krautrock. His style is offbeat and most likely to be an acquired taste, but his music manages to stay approachable thanks to an intact melodic sensibility that keeps the songs grounded in a pop music mold--no matter how out there they get. His 2011 solo debut, Future Songs, is the result of a session Jordache recorded in his home studio.
