Nexcyx is an indie pop band from Barbados that has managed to successfully fuse the often antagonistic genres of rock, hip-hop and pop into a unique brand of music. The band quickly rose to fame in its native country of Barbados, soon becoming the Caribbean nation's most sought after act. After causing such a stir in its home country, Nexcyx moved to New York and tested its sound at the epicenter of the indie pop movement. With the release of its debut single "On the Floor," Nexcyx carved a niche for itself in not only the city's musical landscape, but in the hearts of a surprisingly diverse fan base that recognized several familiar elements in the band's internationally-flavored music.
