Nakí is a singer/songwriter from Medellin, Colombia who attempts to fuse the contemporary beat of her home city with the ethnic sounds of her ancestors. There is something uniquely magical about the way Nakí pulls off this strange combination, which is made even more complex and interesting by Nakí's mixed heritage. Although Nakí has no significant claims to fame, one gets a feeling when listening to her soulful music that achieving success is hardly as important to the artist as the spiritual journey she takes to create it.
