Naam is a psychedelic rock trio from Brooklyn that has developed an interesting style of heavy psychedelia that hones in on its ability to mesmerize its audiences with gigantic droning walls of sound. Entertainment, in the more superficial sense of the world, takes a backseat to spirituality when the members of Naam perform their music, as there is a definite searching quality to the band's sound that invites its listeners to sit back and take part. The band's eponymous debut album was released in 2009 and is perhaps one of psychedelic rock's most significant releases in recent memory, renewing interest in the genre for many as a result.
