Chicago husband and wife duo My Gold Mask is guitarist Jack Armondo, and singer Gretta Rochelle. As My Gold Mask, the couple make a potent and brash form of rock music that is at home in the angst of punk rock, but is transformed into something more theatrical and hackneyed via singer Rochelle's wounded melodrama. My Gold Mask doesn't shy from pop melodies, however a band like My Bloody Valentine is of greater influence here than anything naively optimistic gracing today's pop charts. My Gold Mask's 2011 EP is titled A Million Miles (From Where We Were Last).
