Muffalo is guitarist Derek Meyers, former member of the band Mondo Generator, and drummer Gene Trautmann former member of Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal. As of February 2011, the band had yet to play a live show, despite being confirmed for an official SXSW showcase in March of that year. Given the band's musical acumen, the band's success is a good bet, though this remains to be seen.
