Gülden Karaböcek, born Saniye Gülden Göktürk on November 4, 1953, is a renowned Turkish fantezi and arabesque singer. After completing her education in Ankara, she took singing lessons at Ankara Radio, marking the start of her musical career. She released her first record at the age of 15 under the name Gülden Göktürk. Following family issues, she adopted the surname Karaböcek, like her sister, Neşe Karaböcek. Known for blending fantasy and arabesque styles, Karaböcek became a prominent figure in Turkish music, with albums like Gülden Fırtınası (1982) and Silemem (1997) featuring hit songs like "Anne" and "Küstüm Sana Dünya." In her later years, she remained active with concerts and gained renewed attention with remixes of her songs. Her discography includes numerous singles and albums, cementing her legacy as one of Turkey’s most iconic singers. Despite personal struggles, her music continues to resonate with fans.
