Brooklyn's Monogold is an irreverent, experimental pop trio that takes many of its cues from the legendary Brian Eno, a producer and musician who transformed the way pop music structures could be defined. Monogold's weightless, idiosyncratic song structures lend themselves to the lead singer's falsetto as he both stays in and transcends the group's musical backdrop. The band's use of guitar has welcomed similarities to Coldplay's earlier work; simple, and yet epic like a symphony. The group's debut record is called The Softest Glow.
